On July 30, 2013, Papillon ZAO successfully completed re-certification for ISO 9001:2008 (pdf). Initially certified in 2007, Papillon ZAO certification has now been extended through July 29, 2016.

"Papillon ZAO continues to build its name worldwide as a premier provider of biometric solutions, and by achieving the higher ISO 9001:2008 certification level we have enhanced Papillon ZAO’s global reputation for quality and trust," said Pavel Zaytsev, president and chief executive officer of Papillon ZAO.

The ISO 9000 Standard was written by representatives from the United States and 14 European countries and published in 1987 by the International Organization of Standards in Geneva, Switzerland. The requirements of the Standard are aimed primarily at achieving customer satisfaction by preventing nonconformity at all stages, from production through servicing. The requirements include management, leadership, a pro-active and well-trained work force, customer feedback, measurement, documentation, internal audits and continuous improvement and third-party validation.
